World Vision South Cebu West Area Program has strengthened it CoMSCA implementation through the bilateral partnership with AIMlife Inc, a community based organization. AIMlife Inc, with World Vision’s guidance, spearheaded in the savings movement in partnership with DSWD – Pantawid Pamilya and Pag-Ibig Fund.
The Signed MOA between DSWD Region 7 – Pantawid Pamilya and World Vision on CoMSCA Implementation was introduced to the public last May 2018 thru the Assistant Regional Director of DSWD R7. The intentional collaborative discussion with DSWD Region 7 paved way in better understanding the services from both ends. The Agreement defines where and how the AP and the agency can make significant impact thru complementation of programs and services. The roll out of this agreement increased the number of reach due to the intentional CoMSCA Organizing among Pantawid beneficiaries during Family Development Sessions. Currently, the DSWD Municipal Link Officers led the organizing as supported by the CoMSCA agents.
Moreover, AIMLife Inc. has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Pag-IBIG Fund. This provided them another facility to invest and access other services. The members – majority of them are housewives or workers of low-income jobs such as farm laborers or livestock growers – can now give their contribution as savings and can access housing or miscellaneous loan. To date, there is a monthly monitoring and coordination with PAG IBIG Fund Officer during monthly CoMSCA Agents’ Meeting for the remittance of monthly contributions.
Overall, the partnership for both DSWD-Pantawid and Pag-ibig Fund resulted to more families engaged in savings and investment.
